About

Nestled in the NW valley in the city of Phoenix, amongst the bustle of a sprawling metropolis there is a two-acre farm. It is a place of serenity, where time has no meaning, & nature flourishes. This is Arrandale Farms, a unique urban farm. The cottage is our original bnb on our farm since 2016. This year (2025) we have done extensive renovations to incorporate all of the great feedback we have received from guests over the years. We are excited to offer this unique experience. Good to know

The Cottage is separated from our main house by about 20 feet and has recently been updated with new windows, an air conditioner, a bathroom, and an outdoor shower. Though the shower is outdoors almost all of our previous guests tell us this is the highlight of their stay all year long whether it is cold or hot out. Accessibility: Gravel Parking Pavered Path Parking is located at the front of the property. Walking to the unit is about 100ft from parking. Due to the nature of our property, their safety, and our livestock safety, no pets are allowed. Please be aware that the property does have animals on site. This includes (but not limited to) donkeys, alpacas, chickens, emu, goats, dogs, cats, birds, and pigs. Farm animals do make noises and can make smells. We pride ourselves in trying to decrease this as much as possible. We have three unique units on our 2-acre farm. Each one has something we feel makes them special. Be sure to check out The Airstream at Arrandale Farms and The Artist Studio at Arrandale Farms. We also have an outdoor equipment rental company called OUTr RIM Adventure Rentals where you can rent inflatable paddle boards, beach chairs, mountain bikes, and more. Lake Pleasant is only 30 minutes north of the farm and a fantastic place to spend a day. The best part is that we can have the equipment ready for you pretty much on demand.

Other Details to Note

NOTE: From time to time we host farm events. These events may add more people to the farm than are normally present. We always strive to keep the farm peaceful and not intrude on our guests enjoyment. See the photos in our listing for specific event details. Here is a list of planned events: October Haunted Farm Experience (Friday-Sunday evenings, 10th -12th/17th-19th/24th-26th) November Farm Table Dinners (2 Saturday evenings) December Christmas Wonderland (decor around the farm for BnB guests to view and take couple/family photographs) (Dates are subject to change dependent on weather and farm conditions) Early check-in, If you need an early check-in we will accommodate you as much as we possibly can. Please do not change the check-in times in your booking request without messaging us before sending it. We cannot accommodate check-ins earlier than 1pm. Please make sure to book all the nights you wish to stay. Even if you are on the fence about the length of your trip. We book up fully all year long. Our farm is a non-smoking property for the safety, health, and well-being of our animals. Self-guided tours are permitted (please do not pet or feed the animals)

Neighborhood

We are Chad and Anthony, our neighborhood was built in 1969. At that time it was on the outskirts of Phoenix and was boasted as "farm life in the city".. Thus we are surrounded by unique and cute little farms. Some of them host exotic animals such as deer, zebra, and camels. Beyond our neighborhood, we are within a short drive to lake pleasant, numerous hiking trails, Hurricane Harbor, World Wild Life Zoo, Musical Instrument Museum, outlet malls, and other shopping.

Guest Access

Our property is a working 2-acre farm — which means there’s always a little life and activity happening here! Each of our Airbnb stays is a private, standalone space reserved just for you, so you’ll have your own building to relax in. However, please note that the outdoor areas of the farm are shared spaces. You may see us tending crops, caring for animals, or hosting small farm-related events during your visit. We love sharing our land with guests and our community, and we do our best to make sure all activities are respectful and minimally disruptive. If you’re looking for a peaceful farm setting with a touch of authentic, working-farm charm — you’ll feel right at home here.

The Cottage exceded all of my expectations! Everything was amazing, especially the outdoor shower which felt like a 5 star resort in the Caribbean! My granddaughter was in heaven with all the animals and the citrus trees were such a treat. Thank you for such a wonderful few days!

This was such a nice little place for us to stay at for our vacation! The property with all the animals was really cool and unique. It had everything we needed and helped keep us within decent driving distances from all the places we wanted to see. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone staying in the area and we hope we can come back again in the future!

Would absolutely recommend! The cottage was perfect for two people and a great place to come back to after a long day, or just to stay and relax! There is plenty to do around the farm. The outdoor shower was spectacular. The grill and firepit worked great. The animals were so cute, Sampson the pig was my favorite! (he loves belly rubs 🐷). Chad responded quickly when we needed help or anything else, great host.

We had a fantastic stay at The Cottage and enjoyed every minute of it! Being near the animals was such a treat, but didn’t interfere with the peace and coziness of our place. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone who wants a unique, yet comfortable stay in Phoenix!

We had an amazing stay at The Cottage and would recommend it to friends staying in the area. The outdoor shower was a major highlight for us. It’s so beautiful and you’ll never want to get out. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud and the place is nicely decorated with plenty of lighting. Say hi to Sampson the pig for us!

Chad was great to chat with. Our cottage was super cute & clean and showering outside with the sunrise and the songbirds and flowers is the best thing ever! We loved visiting with all the animals, too.
